These Doulton ceramic water filter cartridges are now available in a range of standard water filter cartridge formats which bring the quality associated with the Doulton water treatment systems name to the general water filtration market.
UltraCarb Doulton Sterasyl ceramic water filter cartridges are highly efficient
thre e (3) stage ceramic micro water filters which provide genuine sub micron filtration of drinking water plus the added benefits of Volatile Organic Contaminant (VOC) reduction (eg chlorine, pesticides, herbicides) and heavy metal reduction focusing on Lead.
Doulton UltraCarb Sterasyl is manufactured with the highest consistent and controlled pore structure necessary to remove a wide range of water borne contaminants from drinking water over the life of the cartridge. Particulate matter, bacteria, cysts and turbidity are removed from drinking water to a high level of efficiency. The incorporation of silver locked within the Doulton ceramic structure inhibits the growth of bacteria and gives each Imperial water filter cartridge enhanced bacteriostatic and self sterilizing properties.

| Bacteria | P | Application: These cartridges are designed for homes fed by well, surface or Chlorinated Municipal water and constructed with soldered copper plumbing, galvanized, PVC, or black iron plumbing. These cartridges are also effective for homes which are fed by lead lined or asbestos concrete reinforced water supply mains in their city.
These cartridges provide outstanding rejection of bacteria, cysts and effective depth filtration of particulate >.5 micron. They are easily cleaned by simple brushing with a ScotchBrite pad (or equivalent). The capacity ratings are to ensure that the internal extruded carbon core and Zeolite ion reduction medium remains effective under the worst possible contaminant conditions.
Though not reaching purification standards, these cartridges still produce outstanding rejection of Chlorine (>97%) and Lead (>97%) at their rated life. Both of these statistics exceed the NSF certification requirements under NSF International Standard 53.  |

Doulton UltraCarb - The Doulton UltraCarb is a three stage water filtration cartridge combining the highly efficient water filtration properties of ceramic with the enhanced water treatment properties of activated carbon and the heavy metal reduction capabilities of ion exchange media.
First Stage - The first stage is the outer shell which is the famous Doulton Sterasyl ceramic which provides genuine sub micron water filtration. The Doulton ceramic reduces fine particulate matter, bacteria, cysts and turbidity. The incorporation of silver locked within the ceramic structure gives enhanced bacteriostatic and self sterilizing properties.
Second Stage - An inner core of extruded activated carbon removes VOC (chlorine, pesticides, herbicides etc) and helps improve the taste, color, and odor of your drinking water.
Third Stage - Ion exchange resin reduces Lead and other heavy metals.
